First in Italy and first in Europe
30 years ago, Cutlite Penta started the production of systems for the cutting of plastic materials and diemaking. Starting from the laser sources produced by the EL.EN Group, it has been constantly involved in the evolution of the laser power and optical systems.
The continuous search for innovation has made Cutlite Penta market leader in the Polycarbonate cutting (PLEXY). A particularly difficult material to cut while keeping the edges smooth and shiny, especially at high speeds.
In 2005, the first PLUS with linear motors was born, designed to cut polycarbonate without any ripples and destinated to become in a few years one of the most industry-leading machine. The following step was developing CO2 laser sources with high powers for the diemaking production.
The use of sources with more than 2000 Watt has provided new skills in the optical and focusing field, from lenses to optical divergences, which are fundamental in the laser application.
The turning point was getting into the Fiber Laser field. An extraordinary and efficient technology which has overcome the CO2 laser for the metal cutting.
With modesty and commitment, Cutlite Penta has approached the innovation, taking advantage of the experience in the optical and focusing field. The first results have been the systems with 2000W fiber laser source power and the first cutting head for the metal, EVO1. During the two following years, EVO2 was created, the cutting head able to manage power up to 15kW.
In 2020 the first systems with 30kW Fiber laser source were born together with the EVO3 cutting head. That innovation made Cutlite Penta the first company in Italy and in Europe producing a cutting head managing such a laser source power.
Nowadays, Cutlite Penta is part of the Industrial field in the El.En Group, an international group having many productions and commercial sites all over the world, thousands of fiber laser systems for the metal cutting installed in every corner of the globe.
Cutlite Penta keeps projecting and designing each component in Italy, with passion, hard work and commitment. Because even the farthest goal can be reached by advancing steadily.
